Aluminium Brazing Flux, Low Melting Point Alloys
It is an aluminium flux for use on lower melting point alloys. Like all fluxes, it removes surface impurities from the joint and improves the performance of the finished weld.
You can mix the powder with water to form a paste, which is then applied to the joint before brazing.
Aluminium forms a tough oxide layer that prevents proper wetting and bonding. The flux removes these surface impurities during heating so the braze flows and adheres correctly.
It is supplied in a 500g jar.
This particular flux is formulated for lower melting point alloys. Weldability SIF offers a range of fluxes to suit different applications, so ask us if you need one matched to a specific alloy.
