01 — About SIF
SIF began life as the Suffolk Iron Foundry, and it was here that Sifbronze welding was developed — the low-temperature bronze-welding process that fabricated everything from Jaguar's Le Mans-winning chassis to wartime aircraft.
Today the SIF range is the backbone of the catalogue: TIG filler rods, MIG wires, MMA electrodes, brazing rods and fluxes across mild and low-alloy steel, stainless, aluminium, copper, cast iron and hardfacing — under the SIFMIG, SIFSTEEL, SIFTRODE and SIFBRONZE ranges.
Every consumable ships with a REACH-compliant safety data sheet, and the trade counter is backed by a field sales team that knows the metallurgy as well as the catalogue.
