They are clear glass cover lenses fitted in front of a shaded welding filter to protect it from spatter and damage. They are a replacement/consumable part for welding helmets and face shields.

They come in a range of popular sizes: 110x90mm, 114x133mm, 108x50mm, 108x82.5mm and 110x60mm. Check the dimensions of your existing lens or shield window to choose the correct fit.

No. They sit in front of the shaded lens as a sacrificial clear cover; the shaded filter still provides the eye protection against the arc. Replace the clear glass when it becomes pitted or scratched.
