A heavy-duty, long-life mobile fume extractor for use with unalloyed steel, precious metals, galvanised material and aluminium. Its manually cleanable filter suits processes generating large amounts of fume, and it is more powerful than the Xtract or the Xtra, meaning less time between cleans. An optional add-on for automatic cleaning is available.

It is a BGIA-approved mobile fume filter unit (UPF-BIA Class W3) with a built-in separator, mounted on swivel castors for manoeuvrability. It weighs around 130kg and is built as a heavy-duty, long-life mobile fume extractor.
It is designed for use with unalloyed steel, precious metals, galvanised material and aluminium, and the specification lists MIG, TIG, OxyAce, plasma and grinding steel applications.
Yes. It uses a manually cleanable filter, which makes it well suited to processes that generate large amounts of fume, with less downtime between cleans than the Xtract or Xtra. An optional add-on for automatic cleaning is available.
It provides a volume flow of 3000m³/hr from a 1.1kW motor, with a noise level of 78 dB(A). It has a single extraction point and a 150mm hose diameter.
The ProtectoAir uses the EXT10025191 filter cartridge, with a stated filter life of 3-5 years depending on use.
