Ceramic Backing Tape — Rounded Groove, 12mm
SIFCERAMIBAC is a ceramic backing material that lets welding be carried out from one side with full root penetration, removing the need to weld from the reverse side.
This is the rounded (curved) groove version. The groove measures 12mm wide x 1.2mm deep, mounted on self-adhesive aluminium tape.
It comes as 600mm (60cm) strips, with 20 strips per box, giving a total welding length of 12m.
It removes the need for welding from the reverse side, helps reduce oxidation, and does not create hydrogen inclusion. It also speeds up execution, improving the economy of the operation.
The ceramic tiles are mounted on self-adhesive aluminium tape, so the strip sticks to the underside of the joint ready for welding.
