SIFTRODE 7016 Special is a double-coated rutile-basic universal electrode for MMA welding of mild steel, ideal for use in pipelines and steel construction. It gives excellent welding properties with smooth, pure joints, good penetration and performance in difficult welding positions. A 100-second ignition and double coating produce a stable, concentrated and direct arc.

SIF SIFTRODE 7016 Special MMA Electrode Range
It's a low-hydrogen mild steel MMA (stick) electrode with a double rutile-basic coating, ideal for pipelines and steel construction. It handles joint penetrations and welding in difficult positions well.
It's available in 2.5mm, 3.2mm and 4.0mm diameters, so you can match the rod to your material thickness and current setting.
Low-hydrogen electrodes reduce the risk of hydrogen-induced cracking, which matters on higher-strength and thicker mild steel joints. This makes them a common choice for structural and pipeline work.
The double coating gives a stable, concentrated and direct arc for smooth, clean joints, and it has a 100-second re-ignition capability. That combination makes it forgiving to run in awkward positions.
