SIF Mild Steel Electrodes
Multiple options available — select an option below
This range of mild steel MMA (stick) welding electrodes is intended for manual metal arc welding of mild and carbon steels across fabrication, maintenance and structural work. It spans rutile-coated 6013 electrodes for general-purpose welding, and low-hydrogen 7016 and 7018 electrodes for applications requiring enhanced mechanical strength and improved crack resistance. Selected low-hydrogen electrodes are vacuum-packed to preserve low moisture levels and ensure consistent weld quality.

Mild Steel MMA Welding Electrodes — 6013, 7016 & 7018
They are mild steel MMA (stick) electrodes for manual metal arc welding of mild and carbon steels. They suit fabrication, maintenance and structural work.
The range includes rutile-coated 6013 for general-purpose welding, plus low-hydrogen 7016 and 7018 for enhanced mechanical strength and improved crack resistance. Choose the classification to match the job.
They come in 2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.2mm, 4.0mm and 5.0mm diameters. Select the diameter to suit your material thickness and current setting.
Selected low-hydrogen electrodes are vacuum-packed to preserve low moisture levels and ensure consistent weld quality. This matters for low-hydrogen electrodes where dryness is important.
Low-hydrogen 7016 and 7018 electrodes are used where you need higher mechanical strength and better crack resistance. For general-purpose work, the 6013 is easier to run.
