SIFTRODE (Grade Ni) Cast Iron MMA Electrodes
It is a cast iron MMA electrode with a pure nickel (Ni) core wire, dedicated to cold welding grey and malleable cast iron. It is also used for joining cast iron to steel.
It comes in 2.5mm, 3.2mm and 4.0mm diameters, supplied in 1kg packs. Select the diameter to suit your material thickness and current.
Yes, welding is possible in all positions including vertical down. This gives flexibility on awkward or fixed components.
This is the pure Ni grade, whereas the NiFe version uses a nickel-iron bimetal core. Both are for cold welding cast iron; the choice depends on your specific repair and machinability needs.
It is a low-heat-input approach that helps reduce cracking risk when welding cast iron. This electrode is formulated for that method.
