1.6mm SIFTIG 5183 Aluminium TIG Rod 1.0kg
The correct aluminium TIG filler rod depends on the parent alloy, the required strength, corrosion resistance, service conditions and whether the welded component will be anodised.
4043 offers excellent weldability, good crack resistance and a smooth weld appearance. 5356 provides higher tensile strength, improved corrosion resistance and is often preferred where the weld will be anodised.
Choose 5356 when higher weld strength is required, improved corrosion resistance is important or the finished component will be anodised.
5183 is commonly used when welding certain high-strength aluminium alloys where greater strength and improved mechanical properties are required compared with 4043 or 5356.
