This is a common issue we come across. If you've got a filtered extraction system, it may look fine on the outside and appear to be in good condition at first glance. However, if there are holes in the filter—sometimes large ones, sometimes small ones—the system can still look fine, and its performance can even seem good because the airflow is strong.

Hello everyone, Nathan from Extractability here. What's one system that looks fine but isn't protecting the end user? This is a common issue we come across.

If you've got a filtered extraction system, it may look fine on the outside and appear to be in good condition at first glance. However, if there are holes in the filter—sometimes large ones, sometimes small ones—the system can still look fine, and its performance can even seem good because the airflow is strong. What's actually happening is that the airflow is passing through those holes in the filter and then being exhausted straight back into the factory, returning contaminated air to the breathing zone of everyone working there.

So, one of the biggest issues we see is holes in the filters.
