When can it be time to upgrade to a specialist filler wire? I would say if you're fighting the same problems over and over again — you've got cracking in the welds, premature failure, poor resistance to corrosion, that sort of thing — it's probably time to have a look at what else is out there and what else can do the job for you. Sometimes changing that filler metal is the easiest way to improve what you're doing.
