So, how do I know which welding wire is right for my application? The first thing you need to look at is the parent material. Ideally, the filler metal should match the chemical composition and the properties of the material being welded.
Then you need to consider the application. Will it be under high loads? Will it be exposed to corrosion?
Does it need to be welded in different positions? All of that will go into picking the right wire for your application. It isn't just about making the weld.
